The Sigma Male and Society. How societal expectations shape masculinity

The idea of the sigma male has been gaining traction in recent years, particularly in response to the traditional expectations of masculinity.

The Sigma Male is a man who is strong, independent, and unafraid to challenge the status quo.

In other words, we don’t buy bullshit and stand for doing the right thing. Society can turn sideways, and a real Sigma Male will not be affected by pressure. I am part of the old white ultra-privileged men who are the main target of society today.

Wokism can kiss my ass. It might have started with good intentions, but I can’t vouch for extremist activism. Post-Modern Neo-Marxism is also pure madness. I have a B.A. in Political Sciences. Marxism is great in books. What humans do with it isn’t good.

It’s insane to observe the U.S.A. claiming the Left and the Far Left. They don’t know what they are talking about. I’m French, the last democratic country to include communists in the government. Socialism in France wasn’t all bad, but some long-lasting damages from socialist governments are drowning the country.

Please, U.S.A., try for real the Left.

Let’s see if you like it.

The Sigma Male is not bound by societal expectations of what it means to be a man and instead chooses to embrace his individuality.

Societal expectations of masculinity are often rooted in traditional gender roles, which dictate that men should be strong, stoic, and assertive. I know that Wokism wants to change things. I’m 100% for equality of chances, but only fools can hope for equality of outcome.

In College, I was a double major: Political Sciences and American Studies. My first paper was about Positive Discrimination. The year was 1990, and I was French. France never bothered with such a concept.

I told this story to let you know that I’m not a newbie on the topic of inequality in society.

What I won’t stand for is to be the Escape Goat for the sins of a few old white ultra-privileged men. You won’t take me down. Everybody else can step up without stepping on us.

Men are expected to be the breadwinners, to take charge, and to be emotionally unavailable. These expectations can damage men, leading to feelings of inadequacy if they don’t live up to them.

My wife stopped working when we had our first child. To be a mother is a full-time job.

I am the man in the family who will hunt for food and ensure everyone is safe.

If others want to see things differently, I’m not judging and certainly not trying to stop them.

I’m aware of my unpopular opinion. I don’t particularly appreciate how society wants to weaken men. The only mindset allowed for the privileged white man is gratitude and kindness.

I’m a Sigma Male who can turn my back on the politically correct. Haters can come my way. Been there, done that.

By the way, since when words became associated with violence? Since when can a joke get you canceled or even thrown in jail?

The rise of the sigma male responds to these rigid expectations of masculinity.

He is not afraid to show his emotions, take risks, and challenge the status quo. He is comfortable in his skin and is unafraid to stand out from the crowd.

The sigma male is a refreshing new take on traditional masculinity and is becoming increasingly more accepted in society.

Our time is now, and it will be a crazy ride. Hopefully, more of us will come out of the woods. Our voice is needed when society is lost.

Studies have found that millennials are less likely to adhere to conventional gender roles and more likely to embrace a more expansive understanding of masculinity.

This shift in attitudes can be attributed to increased awareness of gender inequality and a greater understanding of the damaging effects of traditional gender roles.
